comlab, the new Polysomnography generation of Schwarzer
- Recording and/or review as well as the processing and archiving of bio-signals with 22 or 44 channels
- Computer-assisted analysis of all electro-physiological parameters of the classic polysomnography
- Specially developed processors and detectors allow the online and offline analysis in the field of polysomnography
- Easy handling and flexible adaptation
- Customized, informative reports in MS Word or Excel
- Operation either as stand-alone solution or integration into a network-integration into existing clinic- or practice networks
- Available with trolley or as table version

"The neurophysiological lab of Schwarzer"
one database - one system concept |
| |
|
|
The system corresponds to the recommendations of the German Sleep Society, DGSM
The conceptual design of the comlab systems meets the needs within modern
sleep labs. A mobile and compact architecture and the intuitive and clearly
structured operation simplify the user´s everyday tasks.
A time saving evaluation software supports sleep stages classification and evaluation. Heart rate, oxygen saturation diminution,
respiratory events, as well as alterations of respiration patterns, and sleep phases can be immediately detected and extensively
evaluated.
Following electro-physiological parameters can be recorded and arranged
for an automatic, computer-assisted analysis with systems of the new comlab
series:
- EEG (Electroencephalography)
- EOG (Electrooculography)
- EMG (Electromyography)
- ECG (Electrocardiography)
- Oxygen saturation
- Pulse waveform
- Airflow through nose and mouth
- Respiratory effort, thoracic and abdominal
- Snoring
- Body position
- CPAP pressure
- Body temperature
- 12 DC input channels as universal inputs for signals of external devices
Recording and playback of high-resolution digital video including audio in best quality synchronously with
the PSG works in impressive quality and without shocks.

The main components for the comlab-series are:
- Electronic PSG pre-amplifier box with
- input for polygraphy adapter
- input for the SaO2 sensor
- trigger input for external trigger signals
- Connection for the Schwarzer photic stimulator
- The polygraphy adapter with integrated position sensor and all inputs for the polysomnography recording
- The Schwarzer computer hardware of the type comlab with internal power adapter
- An isolation transformer unit
- A 17' TFT colour monitor
- A digital video device for the recording of video/audio in MPEG 1, 2 or 4 format (without camera)
- Laser printer
- A kit of methodical accessories
- The Schwarzer application software with central SQL database for the organization of the whole workflow
The comlab 22plus has the following additional features
compared with the comlab 22:
- The power adapter & interface box (medical power supply unit included)
with a connection for additional inputs e.g. the connection of other
Schwarzer pre-amplifier boxes or Schwarzer devices approved for this
connection.
- Three pressure measurement inputs, e.g. for the connection of a CPAP mask.
- A light on/off sensor.
- 12 DC input channels as universal inputs for signals of external devices.
The comlab 44 allow among other things a complete EEG recording according to the 10/20 scheme with 29
referential EEG electrode inputs. An input for the SaO2 sensor, an input socket for the temperature sensor, trigger input for external trigger
signals and a connection socket for the Schwarzer photic stimulator complete the configuration according the needs within modern sleep labs.
